They were both packed with actors who over-dramatized every goddamn word and expression so Crusade and LOTR both ended up looking more like Sunset Beach than B5.

And I agree with some of the points raised in the original LOTR thread way back when, that if The Hand were such a big threat then they woulda been mentioned in the epilogue of Sleep In Light.
They coulda been clever and had the hand as the 3rd-space aliens (still could, I suppose), but they took the sucky route and made those ships just some piss-poor Draakh wannabes. I mean, ffs, they even had Draakh shaped heads, thus the twin-peaks on the hooded figure.
It shoulda just been: "Well, you remember those 3rd-space people? Well, the Vorlon super-gate wasn't there only way through. They've got a little door that's too small for ships, but a few of the actual aliens have come through and started ****."
And those supposed super-ships were waaaay too easy to beat. A Battlecrab coulda ****ing whupped ten of those things.
