They'd be movies "inspried" by the works of Tolkein, not really a direct translation.

Never read the Sillmi-whatever it's spelled.

I didn't really like the Silmarrillion that much. It was too much like a textbook as opposed to a novel....

I would really like to see the Hobbit in the movies.  I think it could be pretty good.

But you would have to keep all the same actors from LOTR.

Silmarillion all the way.  IMO the Hobbit wouldn't work too great on a big screen.  Anyone know if the game is any good?

i'd have thought lotr wouldn't really work onscreen, but it seems to have.

i don't really think hobbit and silmarillion should go onscreen... but who knows?

he'd have to make up an awful lot of stuff, like dialogue and so forth, for the silmarillion if he did it, though. but then again he fiddled quite a lot with lotr, so .

I don't see anything wrong with a Hobbit movie. I liked the book, and the Lord of the Rings was made into into a great movie.

So long as they don't botch it.

Heh, the poll is multiple choice. :p

Reviews of the GameCube version are favourable enough. Flawed but fun.

Try the PC demo. Personally I thought it was pretty wank.

Well you need to approach it in the same manner as the book I guess. It's not aimed at the same market as the LOTR games.

I know, I just didn't like it, the controls were poor and it didn't play well for me. Seems like a run of the mill platformer to me and I've had my fill of those (like 5-6 years ago).

The EA LOTR games however I'm very interested in purchasing but there's not enough game to warrant a £50 purchase so I shall wait until everyone is done with their copy and pick it up pre-owned.
