Kurt Russel actually turned down the lead role for the TV series.  I'm not sure whether they offered the Jackson role to James Spader, tho.

'tis a very strange thing to watch the film after watching the TV series.........

I wonder if Kurt is wishing he'd agreed now. :)

Okay, say what you will about Shanks, he's a better Daniel than Spader.  Same goes for RDA and Jack vs. Kurt Russell.

The thing about RDA being Jack is I always seem to be waiting him to pull a MacGyver at some point during the episode, but it never seems to happen....

That's because he's not MacGyver, he a career military with the rank of Colonel.  MacGyver hated guns.

Or the ( more logical ) other way around...

I liked Russel as O'Neil. Don't care about Spader/Shanks, whatever the actor, I don't like the Jackson character.

On a side note: damn kazaa, getting the first season is a royal pain.

That I didn't know. Who was he?

I love the cast; Christopher Judge has gotta be my favourite. Of all the characters, he makes me laugh the most. :p

Which is surprising since he and T'ealc  had to learn all kinds of complex science when they were trapped in that time-loop.  He should have been able to at least keep up with Sam on some of the simper stuff after that.

dont use kazaa, it will F|_|ck up your machine. load it with spyware and let in a great many viruses. switch to gnucleus, it runs gnutella protocal (used by 99% of all file sharing services), is open source, has no ads, and it automatically filters out ip adresses of servers owned by companies who like to press charges.

ah, paranoia.
I've been using kazaa for 3 years, it never messed up my PC, and there's marvelous thgings like Adaware to get rid of the spyware. I'm using kazaa light right now.
