You know what would be really neat for intagration?

A list of SCP sanctioned backgrounds / enhancements / maps etc that are all supported by the project. This would make compatability much easier since all user made missions could take advantage of the same table and effects pack plus any additions that the mission creator makes. These maps could be placed up for download alongside a pre-written .TBL file for them so all you need to do is plug and play... this could even be packaged into a VP file...

umm...how do i get these to work? I put in the .tbl entries and the stuff is in the effects folder, but FRED gives me an error saying it cant find the bitmaps and none of it shows up in the drop-down menu :?

FRED needs a dds or a PCX to work from.

As kasperl said, you can't see the tga's in FRED. Hmmm... I think I should make some pcx versions.

Oh, and don't use the nebulae thingys. They don't look half as good in FS2, due to some transparency problems. I'll have to look into it.
