This plane as an inspiration for modders.
First of all I have nothing of mine created in 3d to show you. Rather than a picture...

Heinkel H-P1079B/II

Seeing that plane, its lines and curves sweeping the air, I instantly fell in love with it. Blame me for it, I just felt too good just looking at it.

I am now hoping if a gentle soul can make it so that we will get to see it on Fs2. It would be a beautiful fighter and ANY modder out ther should be proud to either have made it or use it in his campaign

I saw it, I loved it but can't do anything about it. It is therefore up to you all, if anyone wants to. Thanks be to that one!
If you want to be ready for Wing Commander Saga: The Darkest Dawn, then download and play the prologue first.

Here,

http://www.wcsaga.com/downloads/files/download/releases-prologue-setup-exe.html

Then, while waiting for the Darkest dawn, Download Starshatter 4.02

http://www.starshattermods.com/infusions/pro_download_panel/download.php?did=214

You 'll understand why once you have.

Go look at www.luft46.com

This site has a MASS of end of war 'hopeful' German experimental planes like this. Most never got beyond the scribble on a scrap of paper stage, but some got a little further. Makes for interesting reading.

the allies had a few of there own immpressive designs, almost makes you wish WW2 would have lasted a little longer.

It's not bad - but nothing beats the Horton 229 Flying Wing.

Ever.

It's really kind of the antithesis of the FS style.

Thats not bad, infact I've got the model kit of it. But you just can't beat the 229.

When I was younger I was heavily into the old experimental German planes used/developed in WW2. To such an extent that I now have a copy of German Jet Genesis - a very hard to come by book on the subject.

Now there's a cool site.

And that plane is absolutely AMAZING. The Germans definitely had some good ideas...
Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.
