Because I'm nice, and can't stand such horrible writing (no offense, but it's true).
------------
Here is the general plot for the first mini campaign:the name well..
The Dark Ages.
With most of the GTVA forces strugling to restore peace and order in the aliance, focusing on other items of lesser importance has become very difficult. Although the GTVA is desperate to rebuild its fleet, corners have been cut in terms of quality.
Corvettes and destroyers are now being deployed with the minimum possible crew compliments, and all ships have severley reduced fighter compliments.
As the pilot training is being revised to better suit the new situation, more and more pilots are getting into their cockpits knowing only the basics.
The Aquitane is more fortunate in this respect as its fighter bommber complements have been supplimented with pilots from the SOC abd GTVI and has become the maind deterent in the various hot zones in GTVA space.
But the Aquitane can only do so much. As NTF forces have resurfaced and begun attacking GTVA installations, the situation is getting worse. The NTF succeeded in attacking and commandeering both a station and construction facility in the Ross 128 system. They also managed to "aquire" a Hecate class destroyer and a corvette, both docked to the construction facility for maintenance.
The Aquitane was imeddiatly dispatched to recover the system's resources and pacify the area.
On board the Aquitane:
Lt.Cmdr.Brown:"How the hell did they "lose" a destroyer? For Gods sake, this thing must've been in the planning stages for months! Was intelligence asleep the whole time?
Lt.Ly: "Who knows, sir. It's possible that they may have already been on it."
Louadspeaker: "Attention all medical personal. Please report to the fighterbay to recieve incoming casualties from the Ross 128 system."
Lt.Cmdr.:Brown: "There's the medical convoy. Who was in charge of gaurding it?"
Lt.Ly: "The Blue Lions, I believe, sir. Led by Alpha one."
Brown: "Ahh...them. The best of the best. What do you say we go and meet them?"
Lt. Ly: "I would be glad to, sir. That Alpha one character may be strange, but he's the most experienced man on-board. Wonder he hasn't gotten promoted to captain yet."
Brown gave him a look, and they headed towards the elevator leading to the fighter bay. A wounded pilot passed them without saluting. His gate was slow and awkward, with a noticable limp in his leg. He was clothed in a dark flight suit, with a large Blue Lion emblam on his chest, and a captain's stripes on his arm.
Brown: "Soldier, are you alright?"
The Pilot: "Yes sir, I'm fine sir. Sorry for not saluting, my arm has been killing me."
Brown: "Don't worry about it."
Pilot: "You better get down to the fighterbay, sir, they have a real situation down there."
Brown: "We're heading down there now. Get some rest."
Pilot: "Yes sir, I'll try to sir."
The pilot limped off, and Brown and Ly stepped into the elevator.
Brown: "Strange...that was an SOC pilot, but he had a Blue Lions emblam on his chest"
Ly: "Yes...I think I've seen him before."
Brown turned his head to Ly and gave him a quizzical expression.
Brown: "Oh?"
Ly: "Yes, now I remember! That's Alpha one!"
Brown:"Hes a strange one....what's his name...?"
Ly: "I wouldn't know, everyone just calls him Alpha One."
Brown: "Interesting...I heard he had a fight with Admiral Kotu. Was about to punch him in the face until Snipes stepped in."
Ly: "I heard the same. Fortunately for him, Petrach and Rotha stood up for him, and you know how heavy one admiral's word is, let alone two."
Brown chuckled, and the elevator came to a sudden stop. As the doors slid open, the two took in the carnage in front of them.
Hundreds of dead and wounded bodies littered the floor. A miniature graveyard was off to the side, and it was slowly enroaching on the rest of the hangar. The cries of the wounded and the dying rang their ears. Fighters were coming in, some barely able to fly. Out of the forty that left, Brown counted only 20, and maybe half was still flyable.
Brown: "My God...what happened out there?"
A doctor jogged up to him. Blood coated his white uniform, and as he saluted, they saw a blodid hand.
Brown: "Doctor?"
Doctor: "Ordinarily I wouldn't ask about something like this to a captain, but all of our other nurses are busy. I need help with a patient, he's wounded badly and I don't think he can make it."
Brown:"Yes, of course doctor, what do you need me to do?"
The doctor led him over to a badly bloodied man. He was crying softly to himself. Brown saw he was missing a leg, and more and more of his blood was pooling on the plastic mat below him.
Doctor:"I need you to hold him down while I tie off this artery."
Brown: "Yes, of course."
Brown nealt down behind the man and held his arms as he started to convulse wildly. Blood from his artery sprayed all over the floor, soaking the doctor. He looked like a beast, his face dripping in blood.
Doctor: "Give me the clamp! Goddamnit--he's going into shock. You!"
He gestured wildly at Ly.
Doctor: "Hand me the clamp....no, that thing THERE!"
He pointed at a small object on the floor, and Ly picked it up and gingerly handed it to him. The doctor snatched it away, and clamped the artery shut. Wiping his brow, he sat up and thanked the captain for his help.
-----------------------------Later, in the Blue Lion's briefing room.
Brown: "What happened...?"
The group shuffled uneasily. What they had to say was definately not good news.
Johnson: "We were ambushed, sir. A Hecate-class detroyer..."
Brown: "And?"
Johnson: "We...we tried to protect the convoy, sir, but there was nothing we could do! A Deimos jumped in and started attacking us! Sir, we did everything we could---everything! Our men died protecting those transports, but there was not--"
Brown: "Easy Lt. No one's pointing fingers. Well, at least no one here. The GTVA's trying to find excuses, and you're the best choice. We have the SOC and the GTVI backing us up, though, so I don't think it'll be too much of a problem."
A figure who had been listening in the shadows for quite some time stepped out silently and took the stand in front of the room.
Snipes:"You probably all know who I am. For those of you who don't, I'm Commander Snipes, of the SOC. While you did lose most of the transports, I'm here to congradulate you on getting any through at all. You will all be rewarded for your efforts...and your sacrifices.
But business first. We have an update on the situationin Ross 128. Minutes after you left, an SOC wing running a seperate operation tracked the two ships to this location."
A large map of Ross 128 showed two blinking dots near one of the planets
Snipes: "Apparantly, they are regrouping for repairs and strategy. Your work with the engines and weapons on those craft gave us the edge we need to attack them. Our primary objective is to take out the corvette thus reducing the ofensive capabilaties of the rebels.
Later in stage 2 of the operation, we will attack the Hecate with the Aquitane's big guns.
For this to take place, we need to make sure of one major point. This is that the Hecate cannot launch it's fighters or use it's beam weapons.
Once this is completed, we will regroup on the Aquitane and prepare to move against the rebels.
More detailed information will be given to you before you launch. Try to get some sleep good night. Dismissed.

Well that's about it. I think about four or five missions can be made out of this plot.
I hope you like it.
UT'S NOTE: I think actually about 7 good missions can be made out of it. And for Gods sake, improve your writing!
