Went there for the first time on Friday.

Eventhough I didn't bring my computer along, overall I enjoyed it. Very much.

The sponsor booths kept me occupied. The Abit QuakeCon girls were there giving out T shirts and tatoos. One of them looked at me. :)

The only really big thing there was the nVidia booth. It was a ten minute wait to take a servey for a free t shirt and a chance to win a 6800.

Of course Doom3 is big there. I tried the XBox version it seemed like crap from what I saw in the PC version. There was another game (I forgot what it was called....) that delt with trying to crash your high speed car and having the driver fly out and hitting a specific target. Looks really good and funny at first sight, but it did seem it would be too repetitive.

There was also a Brawls (high caffeinated drink) drinking contest.

Anyway, I was there only for about three hours so I missed out on a lot of stuff. John Carmak, LAN gaming, Tournaments, more booth babes, etc.

Anybody else went?
I finally destoryed the Shivan armada and all I got was this lousy T shirt.

Yeah, you should ask her to join you for a game of Quake....

That joke really is its own punch line.

[color=66ff00]Anyone else find irony behind the fact that the representatives choose the girls who are least likely to understand the stuff they are pimping?

But most likely to pimp the stuff they are selling ;)

Let's face it in the world of people going to QuakeCon, babes=sales. It's kinda like going to a Warhammer convention, most the stalls have nice looking girls in Marine armour etc, but if you ask what the penetration factor is on the fake weapon she is holding, you get called a pervert :(
