Opera used to be good but the recent versions have been really lame. I don't know what they think they are doing - The interface is so cluttered it's horrible and what used to be a simple slick browser is now a convolutted mess :(
I still use Opera 6 because it's so much faster and less of a resource hog than Opera 7. My only regret is that Opera 6 has trouble rendering a lot of mainstream websites properly :(

Firefox is okay, but I think it's vasty overrated and over-hyped. It's not that much faster than IE and is just as much of a resource hog, if not more so.
IMHO, Konqueror was way better as a standalone browser - It has none of the rendering problems Firefox sometimes has (I think Konqueror has the most compatible rendering engine of all the non-IE browsers atm. Never had a site look messed up on it.). It's a pity Konq is part of KDE otherwise I think it would have done well.

That said, Firefox is still pretty damned cool for one reason: You can customise the living buggery out of it! :D
The extensions system is really *really* cool. You can make the browser into anything you want with them :)
The customisability alone is what keeps it on my system - I've Opera-fied the interface as much as I can, even down to my beloved mouse-gesturing. It's great! ;)

Are you aware that using more than one anti-virus or firewall software will lead to problems. These softwares are using low level drivers for example, which may conflict and cause god knows what problems. If a virus is found, it may very well be that none your virus scanners can actually do anything about it.

Best description for it would be that you have ten very hungry dogs and then you throw a piece of food in middle of them. They start fighting over that piece of food.

So using more than one anti-virus software will actually weaken your protection.

I alternate between them, I don't run them all at once, in case there is something one of them doesn't catch.

I almost went to lenghts with this post but I still think its foolish. A classical example of overshoot which I see a little too much at my work. Although undershoot is much more common... :blah:
