AFAIK he directed the movie. The plot wasn't too bad(read the novelization, it's deeper than the movie) but the had to cut out about 20 minutes of the movie because the dumbfu ck test audience was too stupid to understand it. The cut out parts involved a traitor subplot among other things.

The test audience confused the bald guy seen at the beginning(the commander of that asteroid base that gets entered by the Kilrathi) who would be involved in the traitor subplot with the captain of the Tigers Claw because they were both bald, even though otherwise they looked completely different.

Yes, people can be that stupid.

Oh my god, man, you cannot be serious. Far Cry and Doom(all of them) are among some of the greatest games of all time.

To be frank, I consider Far Cry to be one of the worst mainstream games made in recent history. Doom's all good (though I wouldn't put Doom 3 in my top 10 of last year, let alone of all time), but it certainly does not need and would not work as a movie. I should also say that I hate Far Cry because of its utter lack of story. It's a great game if you like mindless shooting, it's just that I don't.
