Now, don't get me wrong - the silencing thing is

more effective than banning, purely because of the psychology of it. However, troubles arrise when you fail to check the permissions assigned to the 'silenced' user group and accidentally give someone you were trying to ban access to the Staff forum and the information contained therein.
Unfortunately for me, you guys are quite disciplined when it comes to not posting FTP passwords in the Staff forum. During my admittedly casual searching, I found not even a vague reference to what someone's password may have been.
Unfortunately for you, I don't need FTP passwords to **** with you:
link removedOnly the first 6 pages (my wrist got kinda stiff), but you get the idea.
And on a more personal note, the entire Staff forum is like a ****ing Pussies Anonymous meeting. Seriously, you people ***** and whine and act like little goddamn girls in there more than I do on IRC at 3am after a bottle of whiskey (5-pages of monologue, anyone?). Though after having been 'silenced' for saying Steak was a member of NAMBLA (OooOOoh! So evil!) I probably should've been expecting that.
Some other issues I have with your methodology are the removal of my ability to PM from the 'an0n' account - which is a pain in the ass. I'm like 95% sure there's a PM in there from Marauder, and I can't read it.
And finally, I apologise to Sandwich for anything contained within the files I have linked to, which makes public any of his private views. I say this because he's the only member of the Administrative staff who isn't a complete tool. The rest of you can go **** yourselves with some sharp metallic impliment of non-descript design.
