The NAA Vindicator class spinship destroyer, heaviest battle line unit in the NAASF.
The Vindicators have 4 heavy neutral particle beams, capable of engaging targets in excess of 200,000 km, causing electronic damage. Hard kill range is significantly lower, however.
4 twin railcannons provide main close in punch, firing rounds in excess of 50 km/s. Rail weapons, due to their immense kinetic energy and high rate of fire are the most effective short ranged weapons used by the NAASF.
Primary long range offensive armament are housed in the two side launch bins. Each has 24 silos, housing a variety of missile armament including long ranged ASAT shipkillers, cluster bombs and AF missiles.
A total of 8 light free electron laser emitters provide point defense against missiles and fighters.
Details on other weapon systems such as decoy launchers and orbital re-entry vehicle dispensers are not available at this time.
16 external hard points allow docking and transport of various fighter and small craft during FTL transit.
Main sensors are various phased-arrar radar and lidar systems, spread over the hull. The main port array can be seen near the front of the ship.
Drive system is a inertial-impeller system, providing significant advantages over a traditional fusion drive setup, including but not limited to elimination of fusion drive reaction mass requirements. Sublight acceleration is up to ~9 gees, primarily dependant upon the gee limits of the crew. Primary power source is a 3.2 TW Lithium Hydride fusion reactor.
Crew numbers 68, primarily officers.
Most tasks that would be performed by enlisted crewmembers are instead performed by the extensive onboard systems. Main computer is a 137 TB fullerene milspec AI system.
