[color=66ff00]Since my saturdays are generally a bit hectic I'm only getting to see it now.

It was utterly fantastic, creepy as hell and disturbing. As soon as I saw the big brother idea I thought they were about to kill the episode. The writers were clever though and used it and the weakest link to create an air of discomfort (I find the shows abhorrent) that was amplified when the outcome of the games became evident.

As for the ending; kick ass.

I hope you all got as much from it as I have, best thing I've seen in a long while.

Well new Battlestar Galactica is obviously the best new science fiction show in a long while. Oh and I think there's another Dr Who thread around here somewhere discussing this episode? Oh well. Now that's settled let's talk Dr Who.

For the most part I liked it. Chris Eccleston has been fantastic throughout the series and was even more so in the season finale. He's been the gel that's held this new series together. I fear for the quality of the show now he's left. The Daleks were extremely cool. I love the fact that they look so harmless and yet are so unstoppably lethal.

On the bad side the resolution in the next episode didn't really work for me as a satisfying end to the episode and the lack of budget was evident in some of the scenes.

The new doctor looks like a prat.

Personally I love the new Dr Who. I'm not going to compare it to BSG cause they are two completely different styles.

Personally I loved the bit when the Ann-Droid had a go at Rose.

"So Rose what do you actually do?"
 The Doctor's assistant says she is a traveller, adding: "A bit of a tourist I suppose."
Anne barks: "So you are unemployed yet you still have money to buy peroxide."

Ah good spot. Although if he's seen the new doctor surely he's seen ep13? Oh well better play it safe. Nice quote you pulled out there. British sci-fi is great for snappy diologue like that. I could quote some outstanding stuff from Blake's 7 but I guess that would be off topic.
