you know a few months ago I fell off a warehouse shelf, about 8 feet, went into shok, didn't realise it untill a few hours later, never went to a hospital, I survived that, I'll survive this.

I totally agree with your opinion on medical care bob but, the only thing that concerns me is where it hit you is a bad place and might not hurt to at least go to the local public health center and get it looked at.

and since we're telling stories of getting hurt and not going to the doc I was burnt all over my stomach and some on my hands, although they didn't get any worse than second degree, by a kerosene can blowing in my hand and I didn't go to the doctor.  Neosporin on my side and I didn't do a thing to my hands but going to sleep the night I did it was a real challenge.

And I wouldn't be too worried about the wound now - any infection would likely have shown up by now. If your head swells up and goes green then see a doctor, otherwise just leave it.
