Yeah, I agree with Venom. With the backlighting like that the Orion looks so dark it almost seems like a derelict.

Anyway, ab00t the first pic: the lighting on the planet seems w33rd. It looks like it's a really big planet very, very far away or like the star is really close, since the lighting is from behind on the Orion (right angle) but it's from the side on the planet (wrong angle). And there's the lack of glowing lights on the surface of the ship (guess you took my "christmas tree" comment about that Arcadia a little too seriously)...

The second pic just reminds me a lot of my first in-nebula render test done on MAX, that I posted on that (now deceased or lost) thread names "bzzt...", when the forums were young. It's just too similar, with an Iceni and Lokis in place of the Sathanas and Maras. Really nice work, though (but still missing the lights on the ship).

I guess I'll stop now before they forget monkeyboy and turn towards me...

My FreeSpace 2 box shows a Typhon destroyer, an Orion getting its hull pierced by a beam from a Cain and lots of fireworks with fighters everywhere......quite a battle scene.....

  Odd... my FS2 box has a Deimos getting ripped by a beam from a Rakshasa(I think) and a few perseus flying around... with a demons shooting beams everywhere heh
