C'mon, you're saying that none of you have ever gotten pissed off at a video game?  Now I'm not talking about kicking a hole in a door or screaming like a stuck pig like this nut, but I know that I've gotten to the point where it's felt like there's a closed valve inside me that's just waiting to blow.  The reason I stopped playing Madden was because, between my father and myself, we managed to render a PS2 controller unusable (meh, they were a lot flimsier than the PS1 Dual Shocks anyway ).  I got incredibly angry at Jak II after attempting one of the near-impossible mandatory missions 50 or so times in a row and failing every single time.  THPS 4 nearly drove me nuts with the skill level required for some of the goals.  There are one or two games I didn't touch for months because of how much frustration I received from them.  I don't know, maybe I just have huge issues with anger management, but I can see myself reaching a state that, while not on the same level as this guy, is at least somewhat close.  You say that video games are't worth getting worked up over, but I don't think you quite understand the emotion.  It's not about the importance to me; it's about being a perfectionist and feeling a drive to finish what I've started and prove that I'm good enough to beat a game. (For example, in FS2, I usually play Bearbaiting at least 20 times in a row before I manage to take out all four of the Sathanas's beam cannons.  I know I don't have to, but I feel driven to anyway, since I know that it's possible.)   That drive can lead to the release of some pent-up rage if you reach the type of near-impossible situation oh-so-common in modern games.  If this thing wasn't faked, then cut the guy at least a little slack.  Sure, I laughed at him, but I also recognized a little bit of myself there too.

I'm a total perfectionist in games like that too (although I have a lot of patience with these things), but I never get angry over it and certainly don't curse at the computer/console. If I start getting frustrated for whatever reason, I just go play something else.

I guess it's down to the fact that you're building up these emotions but you're not moving at all - when all your body wants to do is let loose. This gets bottled up the more you play untill you either do something stupid or have the good sense to turn the game off.

I've never gone off like that idiot, I've found that I would stop abit and play a different game if one game became to frustrating. After awhile go back to it and beat it after formulating a different plan of attack

My brother broke 3 SNES controllers thanks to Choco Island in Mario Kart.  We have a very misshapen wall as a result.

My personal frustration is limited to punching the bed, although it's usually due to watching the footie.

this guy needs to turn off the tv and read a dictionary.. his vocabulary is limited to f*** and halo words. When i get angry i slam my fist down on my desk.. after a while my hands started to hurt so i learned my limits. BF2 has got to be the game that gets me going because of the weapon imbalances.

Reminds me of some comedy sketch here in UK that used to be on TV like ages ago... Can't remember name. Basically they'd be doing something like painting, glueing airplane models together or other fine works - And then one would get to a bit where it was tricky, i.e. it wouldn't stick on or something, then eventually he'd throw a tantrum and trash the entire room. It was a pretty funny sketch when you watched it.. "ARGHHH, SMASH, SMASH, SMASH, SMASH, THROWS TABLE, TABLES CHAIR, SMASHES TABLE IN HALVE etc"

Yeah, i've took up the same sort of thing a while ago, which was a bit of a problem as I have a glass desk ... Damn, games like BF1942 can be insanely infuriating when you're just having a bad day and nothing seems to be going right; honestly, I could swear that my Bullets would literally go around people! Not to mention the fact that, in the entire Battlefield Series, I am a Grade A, Bonafide Bullet Super-Magnet. A player shoots anywhere on the battlefield, you KNOW it's gonna wind up in my ass...

I don't get angry as such, a lost game is a lost game. I do however get extremely frustrated when I know (or think I know) that I can or could of done something and it didn't happen.
Albeit most of my curses go towards lag, as most Australians who play on Xbox Live will know about. Sometimes I get frustrated at a particular tactic, but I usually get over it and force myself to change my own.

The most I've done is yelled a bit and hit the bed during extreme moments. Though I like to play with myself muted most times. I consider letting other people know your pissed off at something a weakness...

But yeah, you want frustration. Try Ninja Gaiden... *shudders*

Ah, I forgot about the slamming the fist tactic.  I've done that a lot myself, most notably when attempting to play the singleplayer campaigns of Age of Empires 2.  They'd start off fine, then you'd get to a mission where the computer had a massive advantage and you started out with practically nothing.  I remember two missions in particular: one in the Joan of Arc campaign where you had to defend several river crossings against a few British towns, and one in the Barbarossa campaign where you started off losing your base and were being attacked by three massive Italian cities.  I was afraid that my wooden desk wouldn't be able to stand the punishment, or my hand, for that matter.  At least pillows/matresses aren't so hard on the human body.  I haven't played that game since; I even tried looking for strategy guides, but no luck.  If anyone has any hints, by all means, let me know.  At least Ensemble made a really great singleplayer experience their next time around with Age of Mythology.

Normally I don't get mad at games, only when they jam after I've got very far.Otherwise I use the logic "Don't get mad, Cheat":p and you can follow that habit back to the days of Game Genie for Nintendo.
