Sorry for bringing this up but I have been trying to download mods from HLP.

Some go fine but for two in particular (newfx.zip and theend of score mod) I get taken to the file planet page.  

From there I can't find anywhere where it says "click here to download" or somthing similar.  Do you have to register with file planet becasue I think they expect you to pay.  

Can somone help me out please?

yeah..... file planet been doing that lately, i just wait a bit then hit reload and then hit one of the Cali connections, that "ur own server" thing, u have to pay.

I'm curious about this registration thing, I don't think you have to pay so long as you use the (slower) public serverrs, but you do have to register... don't quote me on it though...

Whoever submitted the mod or has it can they e-mail me it or send it to the V archves.  I really want to check them out.

Hehe, if people had to pay to download files from HLP because of the server we were on, I think we'd be looking for another host server...

I logged into gamespy but I still can't find any f-ing button that simply says download.  It's all just "register" or "sign up" ****e and if I click on one of the links that look like the site the file can be downloaded from I am just taken to a gamespy homepage which is bloody useless.

Hmm, I'll see how Setekhs getting on with contacting the GS people. This is stupid... what good is a site that hosts mods when the download site is so complex.

Don't worry though - we'll sort something simple out.

What happens is that we can upload to the normal 3DAP servers (as opposed to FilePlanet), but if they are put on FilePlanet, they are automatically mirrored for us.
