"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

The title "Chancellor" has always made me slightly uncomfortable. I keep thinking of the last guy who went around calling himself Chancellor. Also, the phrase "grand coalition" does nothing to put me at ease. I just hope Italy and Japan have nothing to do with it.

But uh, yeah. Good for her. It's a bit difficult to make sense of who won, cause they're all social-democratic leftists, only, you know, in different ways.

Touche.

Fortunately none of the present major parties in German politics have much to do with that sort and most of them have been around in one form or another much longer than that particular party.

Gerhardt Schroeder wasn't THAT bad. :p

It believe you are referring to Hitler, but he went around calling himself "Der Furher".

I think he was Chancellor before he become Fuhrer. Back when he was democratically elected. If I'm not mistaken.

Indeed. He did everything by the book until that old bugger (it wasn't von Papen, the other one) handed him the proverbial keys to the Kaisers office.

I can only hope, that I won't have to endure her for long :)

No errors, no random CTDs, just pure fun and proof of why getting hit with missiles is a bad thing.

[color=66ff00]Ever since I read that they were considering her as Germany's answer to Margret Thatcher I've felt sorry for my German friends.

No luck guys, don't let her hold power too long.

Well said! :)

Personally I think, that the fear lady won't stay in her new position for long; she simply lacks personal strength Schroeder had.

so long as she doesn't have grand plans of taking over the world and using it as an excuse to 'fix' the economy let her do what she wants :p
After much debate I decided quotes are a waste of time.
