wait a sec if all of interplay is worth $230k, how much _could_ just the rights to freespace (game nobody gives a damn about that sold poorly 5 years ago) be?

normaly I'm pesemistic about this sort of stuff but, if the whole company is only worth $230 then there might be a hope.

Stock value means very little. At the time of the big Apple crash a few years back the companies value fell to $4 Billion. At the time they had $10 Billion in the bank. Had anyone been in a position to buy they could have doubled their money and got a computer company thrown in for free

It's quite possible for the stock value of a company to be less than the value of its assets.

That said I still believe the rights for FS2 might be available cheaply.
