Does anyone know of any good FREE ones, or ones that aren't rediculously expensive but still good?

There are hundreds of HTML code editors out there, personally I have always used Crimson Editor. (http://crimsoneditor.com/)

If your doing HTML I would say its an absolute must that you see the code, it is VERY easy to learn and it dosen't take long.

Do it by hand. You'll be much more satisfied. :p

There is also Araneae. At least i like the release candidates available from the forum, though the Crimson Editor is also very good.

As there seems to be several Crimson Editor users around here has anyone made a custom version (*.SPC, *.KEY ) for table files?
Do not meddle in the affairs of coders for they are soggy and hard to light

Ive been doing it by hand for a while but I just thought I might be able to line up images and other things more easily with an editor.  But yea the manual approach does feel like you've accomplished more when your done :D

Thanks for the suggestions though, greatly appreciated. :)

I did code these by hand www.fileh.com/swantz/   www.geocities.com/swantz051/  Yea I know they aren't very good. :doubt:

Simple HTMLcode lets you make prettty decent pages, though. Without using frames, even! Like http://mekhu.woodentoyandgift.com/fun.htm or http://newpaltz.edu/~carope20/HW3.htm

tor-rents! tor-rents! tor-rents! tor-rents!

use torrents and get Dreamweaver MX or whatever else you want! :p

Cobra, as has been pointed out... we may be on a new server but that doesn't mean we're suddenly relaxing every warex / porn / swearing / whatever other rules we've had in place before. Please don't suggest using torrents to illegally aquire software again. // Kalfireth

NVU is good for fiddling around with tables.  (Before discovering CSS, my pages were table heavy.  Of course, after discovering CSS I rarely have to use NVU anymore...)  It also has a number of annoying bugs.

You can always give Amaya a go.  It's an open source editor 'endorsed' by W3C.

Lib, you know there's a /me or {me=} command to do that, right? (Replace the { with [ and put your name after the equals sing).
