Hey there everyone.  I was browsing through a certain site looking at upcoming DVD releases, when something caught my eye.  It seems that "Babylon 5: The Legend Of The Rangers" will be coming to DVD on March 14th, though it is possible to pre-order.  For those that don't recall, B5:LotR was intended as the pilot movie to a new series, taking place approximately 2 years before ACTA.  It never got beyond the Pilot, and in fact never aired in Canada (and likely some other locales).  In fact, after its initial airing, it was never shown again, n'or did it make it onto the B5 Movie DVD set, making it the only B5 production not available to view or buy.  All that will change on March 14th.

Yes it's good for that... and erm.... that's about all. Seriously I was horrified by how bad it was. Crusade has actually grown on me but LotR is an atrocity. Oh and the same acronym as Lord of the Rings? Very funny JMS.

its already out in the UK, i saw it in Music zone for £4.99 in the sale.  What were they thinkin with it? the way the weapons officer operated the weapons was just stupid in my view and the Hand what a name for a anicent evil! not very evil is it?

But at least it made some nice speculations possible, like the hand being servants of the thirdspace aliens and such (at least that's possible from the things I read of the film, never having seen it, since I live in Austria).

Yeah the whole "We have this photo of an evil portal" thing makes me think that they could be those guys.

Especially since you'd think Lorien would go: "Oh BTW, there's some big bad evil guys that tried to kick even our butts still around..."

The thirdspace aliens were cool. For three reasons. 1) They attack for no reason, always cool. 2) Their ships were uber cool looking. 3) They weren't called The Hand. Ergo should the thirdspace aliens have turned out to have been The Hand they would no longer have been cool. Subsequently we have another reason to be pleased that Rangers got cancelled.

Well I didn't find race flying octopus scary at all. And only thing cool in their ships was that they actually looked alien (and didn't have wings )...
I liked the movie thought, who couldn't like a movie that's about a big space battle?

I didn't say the hand ARE the Thirdspace Aliens, I said they could be SERVANTS of them. Or for all I hear about how easily they are tricked, they could also be robots .....
