what about 18k polys? will the engine handle that on a relatively average machine?

I like, looks fairly organic in its design.
My critic on it would be to overhaul the textures on it though. Try and ram in some detail and different themes on the areas of the ship.
Otherwise, pretty darn nice. :yes:

quite frankly, the point of this model always was that the texture is a uniform color, without any details sticking out too much

well, start of the low-poly version, removed the model from hypernurbs and started shawing off not really visible details.

the plan is to get from 18312 polys down to 15k or less. we shall see how it goes. anyone have any problems with this?

this model is on a wee bit of hold now, as i cant be arsed to trifle with it right now, dont have enough time. we'll see later tho. i think that by the end of september that it should be done...
