Shockingly, I have 'jury-rigged' a version of the SCP to work on my worthless computer. Yay!
It is an older version, I usually get 10 FPS in combat, 50 when facing a black, no-background screen, and 30 other times, and it was very difficult to make. It no longer crashes

, but it did twice when I was playing The Enimies Return, but I suspect that was due to the BoE syndrome. For anyone else who cannot play the regular SCP, here is how I did it:

STEP 1I downloaded the (current) MV_Core, MV_models, MV_befix (the beam fix), and the SCP 3.6 Installer.
NOTE: I am not sure if the MV_Core dose anything, but get it just in case.
STEP 2Install the SCP 3.6 normally. I check the boxes High res + 32 bit effects, High poly/glowpoint models, High poly Planets, and Shine, glow, and high quality textures.
STEP 3Put the MV_Core and MV_models into your main FS2 directory. Overwrite any files.
STEP 4Go into MV_befix with VP veiw, and extract the weapons.tbl to the tables folder in DATA.
STEP 5I used the Specular, glowmaps, 32bit textures, JPg,TGA textures, Model instead of ani, stop fog intersection hull, and FPS features. I am running this in D3D8, at 1024x786x16 resolution, high general settings, large textures, and fixed the font distortion problem.

I used Lightspeeds upgraded explosions to try and speed things up. They appear to be helping a little, so you might want to see. Also, I got his shinemaps, but I'm not sure if they work with this version.
Be warned, it tends to lock up if you don't have enough memory. Close some programs before running.

This works for me, but it may not work for you. Backup is advised.
