Ever thought that maybe there are more than one way to move the mouse? It can be moved by using your fingertips, rotating your wrist or moving your hand. I prefer rotating my wrist with fingertips assisting but I do not move my hand. For this movement style MX500 is too heavy while MX310 is perfect, the difference is maybe 20 grams but it is certainly enough to make a huge difference on your wrist. That and I use computers at work and at home, easily 12 hours a day. After 8 hours at work, using a heavier MX500 certainly is too heavy.

Anyways, the recently announced Logitech G3 and G11 sure looks like these will be my next gaming mouse and keyboard.

I was for a long time MX510 user, and while I loved it I realized that it didn't perfectly fit my hand. Logitech mouses in overall tend to be not agile enough,  and since I'm playing RTCW/ET in competitive level and prefer light mouses due to being wrist aimer I decided to try out Razer's Diamondback due to friend's recommendations. It's way better than MX510 was for me, for both working and especially for gaming. I'm not saying that Logitech's mouses are bad, they're great, but if you want to do gaming there are better alternatives.

Just don't get a cordless mouse, whatever you do. Batteries push the weight up beyond the MX500 from the get-go.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

So what's the weight of the MX1000?

TBH, if you're complaining about the weight of your mouse, you should probably use it less...

I received my Razer Copperhead earlier today, I have only used it for a short while now but I am quite impressed with it. First of it fits into my palm very nicely, much better than any Logitech I have used. Positioning of all buttons is much better than in MX500 or MX310. And even though I'm just getting hang of using this new mouse, on-the-fly sensitivity and DPI switching is awesome. And this mouse is light, only 90g so it is even lighter than MX310. Sweetness. :)

G7's have a Lithium-ion battery in 'em, they're smaller than the batteries in most modern mobile phones.
