Today my wrist was screaming to me that the mouse I use for gaming is too heavy. For my gaming computer I use Logitech MX500, for my other computer I use MX310. I hadn't realized it before but the MX310 is much more comfortable to use because it is lighter, easier for my wrist. ****, and it took me two years to notice that the mouse was too heavy. :doubt: Let this serve as a warning to you, check your mouse's weight and if your wrist is truly comfortable with the weight. I weighed both MX310 and MX500, MX310 is close to 100g while MX500 is about 120-130g, or so the balance claimed.

Anyone know good lightweight gaming mouses? Meanwhile I'll stick with MX310. :)

My mouse weights a bit below 105g according to the company's website.

I'm not sure how much my 5+ year old M$ optical USB mouse weighs. I have used other mice sometimes, but personally I can't tell the difference.

The G5's weight is adjustable and people say it's extremely light at the minimum setting (although I hate how they dropped two buttons, which is why I didn't buy it).

I have an MX518 and an MX510 and find them both light enough for my usage (106g and 122g). I generally have the sensitivity turned up close to the max at all times, so I only need to rotate my wrist and almost never actually move it.

I wonder how many grams the G5 is at minimum.

Is MX518 the 106g one? And yes, I prefer rotating my wrist instead of moving it, which is why my MX500 has been too heavy on it.

Almost any cordless optical mouse moves easier then a corded, balled cousin.

Remember that weight is not everything, you must also factor the distance you must move your your hand/rotate your wrist with the distance covered on the screen. :) A few gs may be compensated by moving your hand/rotating your wrist a few mms less. :p

Yeah, I have my mouse sensitivity all the way up, so my wrist doesn't get tired unless I use my computer all day (literally).

I do real work, as a matter of fact, do you know how hard it is to use a mouse on max sensitivity when you just helped somone move (as in, carrying 50lb boxes up and down stairs)

Can't believe the weight of a mouse would gather complaints.  Get some excercise! :p

Don't need to bench or even go to a gym.

Get down on the floor and do some good ol' push ups, sit-ups, and if you can find a place, do some chin-ups.  That should keep anyone at least moderatly fit.

Of course if your like me, you keep enough work to do around the home to stay in shape.  Although I still work out, in case I encounter an off day.

Yeah, the 518 is the lighter one. I have the sensitivity adjusted so that I can move the pointer from one corner of the desktop to another with about a 3/4" mouse movement, so I don't need to turn my wrist a whole lot.

Logitech is also coming out with a G3 that appears to have the same tracking hardware as the G5 but is smaller and may be even lighter.

Actually, wireless mice in general tend to be fairly heavy due to their battery.

I still think it is interesting that some people think their computer mouse is too heavy. I think Fury need's some excersise. :p
