Enterprise turned me off repeatedly. I got sick of giving it chances to impress me. Same with Stargate.
Be warned: This site's admins stole 100s of hours of my work. They will do it to you.

and forgot that even TNG took at least two seasons to truly become a great series.

It wasn't time to settle in that improved Enterprise but breaking B&B's iron fisted control on the franchise. Look at season 3. The entire series managed to make the temporal cold war actually interesting for an entire season and it only took B&B 5 minutes at the end to turn it all back to crap again.

Alien-Nazis  ... or Nazi-Aliens, let that one sink in and then try to form an objective opinion on Enterprise ;)

Re: You're f'in kidding me (Star Trek XI)
Enterprise seasons 1 and 2 were loads of crap lightly sprinkled with some good stuff. Seasons 3 and 4 were loads of good stuff lightly sprinkled (unfortunately at key points) with crap.

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Well... Formulaic? Yep. Cliched? Darn tootin'. It was moronic writing, but at the very least the aliens siding with the Nazis is at least a logical course of action, as they were the largest power for a good while there, and thus the safest way to safeguard their goals. Anyway, you expect them to side with the Soviets, or the Americans?! They'd be working in a Siberian gulag or getting cut-open on an operating table in Area 51 in no-time.

But the fact still remains, as Sarno so eloquently points out, 3 & 4 were light-years ahead of 1 & 2, and truly are the seasons that should be referenced when judging the series as a whole.

Yes, because the Nazis were very tolerant of different-looking peoples.
