im not sure where this goes.

i dumped the Dark mod in favor for a 40 missions RTC campaign. i want to know how to edit the GTD Hades hull and strength file if possible the name file as well. for the RTD Gumble.

the reason is a single shot from a deimos slash turret and the hades' engine is gone. i also want to edit the hull of that ship to match the Collosus. as well as that the speed of that ship. it is soo slow like the hecate.

i also want to edit the GTA Charbdis ship and name aswell. for the RTA Discus.

and finally the GTC Aeolus. for the RTC Xander.

reason why i want the edit is a seperate ship and hull naming. like the bastion as well as a like hero status but not a hero. is it possible and what would i need if so?

A little more enthusiasm in front of the newbs next time would be nice.  :D

Editing the table file for relevant ships will accomplish your goal (Hit points). You can do a specific class (the general entry), OR if you are adding a ship that doesn't exist yet you need to make a NEW entry that has a copy of the old table entry, but with your changed stats if you don't want to just have all ,say, Orions have increased hit points.

At this time there is no EASY way to change the hit points of a specific ship within a class on the fly. You can damage or repair but not change to a specific numeric value (last that I knew of) via FRED.

For a SIMPLE name change as they have no hullplates, you can simply change the names in FRED, this will show up as you target them (ie GTD Whatever) but the Class underneath will remain he same, so no need for a new table entry.

I hope that helps you out a little. Welcome aboard!

In fred open you go to edit marked ship and click on special hits to change hitpoints IIRC.
