The ShivanSPS pack includes NaRR10_Nebulae.vp in C:\Games\FreeSpace2\mediavps\data.

I've removed it and can't see a difference. Is there a particular mission I can use to make an A/B comparison and see if it's working? Or has the Lightspeed Nebulae pack been aborbed into another vp file, making it superfluous?

Are you playing missions that use the new nebulas?  They don't integrate directly into the stock FS2 campaign, you need to download the new VP in which they've been integrated, found here:  http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,42817.0.html

Thanks, but I'm more confused than ever. I finally found some "bad" looking nebulas, they're only in some custom mods like Homesick. All the regular FS2 missions using mediavps look fine, just like the screenshots.

So do I need LightspeedFS2.vp when I have NaRR10_Nebulae.vp ? The ShivanSPS install is very good so I wonder why he left it out. If so, what is the proper folder to place it in?

I'm betting thats the answer. I don't know what ShivanSPS install looks like, but do you have other .vp files in the FS folderthat might have them? And did he even include the original nebulas?

And why would you want to remove Lightspeeds nebulas?

The "NaRR10_Nebulae.vp" are the Lighspeed Nebulas, and the file works just fine where their are, the LightspeedFS2.vp is the same thing which other name, just let the file where their are and download something that uses the Lighspeed nebulas, mmmm If I remember well, Derelic uses it, you already have Derelict in my pack, so try which him , The FS2 camping just uses the normal nebulas, so you will not notice any diference, but here there is a moddified FS2 camping to use the Lightspeed nebulas, take a look at it.
