hey mates, before you start beaming me from here to vasuda prime, im an old member(not well known) who forgot his pass/username and just decided to make a new account.

well now that i got that out of the way, i was bored and i decided to try and make something nice with sketchup for a change, its a cruiser/frigate sized ship ( around 600m) which i have no name for tell me what you think about, and bare in mind im not that great with sketchup ( and i have no idea how to texture something to its plain white )

The front part of the ship could still use some work though, it seems unfinished compared to the rather detailed mid section of the ship.

Certain aspects of it remind me vaguely of the Liberty Battleship from Freelancer.  I like it though; keep going.

now that you say that youre quite right, didnt even notice it before^^ changed the front section abit, it fits my taste more now, browsed around the forum a bit to get some inspiration

thx yeah i didnt really like those turrets as well.. but i used those as placeholders atm, ill wait with the turrets till i get some idea for better ones

hehe guess the hours i used to spend on playing Freelancer have had an impact on my modeling insperation^^


@The_E i wont mind working on it tbh, i'll have to warn you though, i might not be good enough to model stuff you have in mind, but trying cant hurt^^ i never played crimson skies btw


UPDATE:
finally found a name for this, hope its not taken already GTFg ( or anyother faction's frigate, GT is the first thing to come to mind)

not sure if it really fits the Frigate designation at all, what do you think? i think of it as a heavy frigate
