Ummm, I kinda feel silly about asking this but is it possible to convert the FS1 campaign to FS2?

Two reasons this might be a good idea:

1. I've never played FS1 and for those like me it would be cool to see the whole story (BTW it's not available over here)

2. The original campaign would look yummy in the FS2 engine.

Has this idea been proposed before? Am I being ubersilly?
