Heavens forbid that TV shows even a hint of Chine pre-Revolution being in any way less good than modern china

Sheesh.  Sounds like they (Chines gov't) have naval syndrome.

I wouldn't doubt it for a second. It lead me on a thought process of perhaps how much the chinese government possibly wouldnt like tv or movies presenting a what if kind of alternate history and how it might make their populace think.

Such as a what if china was not communist. Or what if tianenman square didnt happen.
