if it was that obvious dragon then the fishies living their should've already come up with the stupid stereotype for us and never expect us to get into space and subsequently, claim a ton of systems, unite against them, make several peace treaties and break them, catch some traitors, win some lose some to another race(carl), join up with them and make a ceasefire, defeat whatever was eating both of us, form a permanent alliance with them against whatever it was that made the alliance sound reasonable in the first place, secede some systems, and ultimately start killing fishez.
and that is why our influence should be made obvious as far away as the magellanic clouds in order to warn any aliens out there to make some scamming countermeasure one step ahead of us before we end up turning them stupid. in short,
