Hey,

I’m afraid I’m going to need the help of the community in this lol
For my website I’m working on, I’m having trouble with the navigation… I can’t decide which one of these four looks better:

If you check those out, you’ll see they’re all similar… in that there are brackets when you hover over (between the brackets will eventually be the text, for example:  ‘downloads’; but I haven’t gotten the chance to put those in yet)

NAV 1:

NAV 2:

NAV 3:
>>When the mouse hovers over, the brackets just appear, then dim and brighten, etc.  When the mouse rolls out, the brackets just disappear.  This is better in that when a user moves the mouse quickly over all the buttons (up and down), there’s no ‘lag’ because there’s no frames for it to catch up… the side-effect is that there isn’t the ‘wave’ effect (on Nav 1 or 2, try moving the mouse up and down the buttons fairly fast).

NAV 4:
>>When the mouse hovers over, the brackets just appear, then stay as they are… when the mouse rolls out, the brackets just disappear.  The simplest of the four.

Don’t think compatibility, because all four are under 3 KB and any computer with a Flash 5 plugin will run them, I just can’t seem to decide which would look better! lol

I’m hoping (if it’s alright to the staff and community) if I’ve got any problems I need help with or ideas, I can use this thread to post them.  My site will hopefully be up within a week, and within the next few weeks completely finished.
