Those are pretty good.

Also, how much does Terragen cost? Or is it freeware? Not going to buy it, but I want to know, as I have also tried rendering landscapes with freeware program... my computer is just too slow for that, and I don't have the patience. And I don't know how good results can you get with that program (Genesis II).

Terragen...Its freeware. You can register it but it has not much extra if you do

The first one is supposed to be like that but the second one does, yes.

yes the coulds at the second one look a bit... flat
and the first on actually looks like the background (sky) and the mountain are on separate layers like in Photoshop, quite a neat effect if you ask me
