hard-light has so much content but I can not find what I want.....

Scripts,Missions,Maps, Plugins, Ships, Mods, Examples, and Models get buried deep into the forum/wiki/fsmods, not even a search can find them. Maybe its to late because they are is already to much content every where. Lots of great things/ideas I bet I will never get to try because it buried so deep.

A good example of keeping content able to be freely accessed and used. Also it is content controlled so it explains what works and doesn't. Also gives rank and times downloaded.

Basically I don't want to have to make a post or go into IRC to see if any one has seen something, I rather use the search; but it always comes up with useless stuff. Even advanced searches when I only look at sections.

What got me posting this spent many hours looking for stuff:
1. Is there a mission out there I can try that tests a pilots Maneuvering skills, threw asteroids or obstacles (Spacestations or Whatever) (haven't found)
2. LUA example where the user fires guns due to a event. (haven't found)
3. 2D missions (Asked in IRC and found, but the mod does not work)

Sorry if I am stepping on peoples feet, its probably to late for any change with all this content.....

So what exactly are you refering to? Making 2D Missions in FRED?

Indeed, the forum search doesn't work very well.  You might have better luck using a Google search and "site:hard-light.net" instead.

You might find the wiki better organized than the forum.  There are several "portal" pages with links to mods and mod information.

However, if you aren't searching for a specific mod but rather "something along the lines of X", your best bet is to post a thread about X in the forum.  For #1 and #3, I suggest you try out this mod.  For #2, I suggest you post a thread here.
