As with all things, it depends on the school.

I don't think anyone can deny there's an education problem here, though, when our current pres thinks Africa is a country and a former VP famously spelled potato "potatoe".

I know the usual geography stuff but that is not really taught here as a standard course, and the emphasis is instead on history. Regarding successful subjects, all I can do is math.
