Re: Anyone Hate Thier Boss?
My boss recently drove to Louisiana to pick up his son from prison so he could rehire him to work in our shop assembling safety valves....

Of course. Because there's no way that could possibly go wrong.

Re: Anyone Hate Thier Boss?
It appears I have been very lucky with my immediate superiors.

My direct bosses have always been good enough to not get into the way, and generally handled their jobs so that those things did not drop to me. However, our upper management echelon seems way too large and utterly incompetent in its job, but that seems to be the way it nowadays works in this country. There's always sort of fear when our CEO is included in the talks with another international company that he will single-handedly destroy any and all hopes for any sort of cooperation. I do suspect that we are not the only one having this plight, though.
Relaxed movement is always more effective than forced movement.

What did his son do? Obviously you don't care too much for the idea of junior returning to work there if it was work related why he went to jail. Then yes, just stupid to rehire him. If not, then his dad is pretty cool in giving a former prisoner and possibly a felon work, unless his son is just a **** up that will drag your and everyone else's quality of work down and cause drama when junior is back.

Re: Anyone Hate Thier Boss?
ok so i need to revise my previous post.  i absolutely DO hate the guy who just started temping as the shift supervisor.  not really my boss, but jesus **** is this guy a pain in the ass.  it's like he's actively trying to create problems and invent ways we are wrong.  but of course HE knows every last little detail and is going to make sure EVERYTHING is right.

questioning the on watch STE in the middle of a brief hoping to catch him answering incorrectly/not knowing something IN FRONT OF ****ING NAVAL REACTORS REPRESENTATVIES is absolutely uncalled for.

Re: Anyone Hate Thier Boss?
I don't really hate any of my bosses but I do believe some of them are incompetent. They tend to base their success more on their character and behavior, than on actual skills and experience. I still follow their directives without questioning, though it sucks when they blame other people for their own mistakes.

That's why I'm planning to do more than two jobs and focus my attention on those that significantly reduce interactions with other people (customers, colleagues and bosses alike). Being an employee is not going to lead me anywhere, I should do things on my own and become my own boss.

It's this. This guy has been known to: light pieces of trash on fire in our warehouse and watch them burn, throw nuts and bolts at people, throw pallets when he's angry, make improvised flamethrowers with cans of brake cleaner.

I understand that the US prison system is deeply ****ed up, and I feel for the plight of ex-convicts, but this guy shouldn't be working here.
