Not sure....I think they peak at 300 kph, but their averages are  - IIRC - about 150-180 during a race.

Incidentally, 'pilot' is probably the right name for an F1 driver.  Because the cars would actually take off were it not from the downforce off of the wings.

And it's a little unfair to compare Fangio, Prost, Senna etc with Schumacher when they raced in different eras....

anyway, as I said, max top speed for F1 is 350, higher for the top ones ( ferrari blabla bla blabla )
