School Computer Security Systems..
Won't let me delete files. not sure how to get past this one. Sure they go in the Recycle Bin, but can't do anything beyond that

Let me access this site. It and it won't let me tweak with the Web Browser settings , so i don't know how to get on here otherwise.

Most "important files" are tricky to do anything with. as in delete, change and so on.

right now, i can bassically send as many Temp files and so on to the recycling bin as i want and change some shortcuts around to make things very confusing... but i can't (don't know how with all the protocols) even change the web home page :(

Help me in throwing my school system into anarchy.. please?

one way is to punch the local sys admin in the face.. then take control of the server

Delete the Windows. If not possible, format the computer in Dos. :p

Ahh yes. Then he will be able to put the admins through hours of working....again
Redfang you're a genious. ;)
No, really I would do that. By the way KT, if you mess with the PCs at school, make sure you have the following:
-Gloves
-A cap
-Maybe some handy dandy black out knocking devices
-A hostage (you would do great if you take with you the school's babe, no one would touch her ;7 :drevil: )
-CP to keep the others busy with a self prepared brain killer math-test.

And of course, if you need heavier firepower, call me. ;7 ;)

Of course, if you can't sabotage them all, simply destroy them.

Or search for some evil (like one which would kill BIOS) virus and then get it at schools computer. Delete anti-virus programs from DOS.

Is it really possible to kill BIOS with a virus? :nervous:
Would it render the PC totally useless or what?

Ahh yes, school computer networks, the most restrictive and inconviniet things in the world.

Just use the normal ways to crack windows (Eg. Gopher and ie). But don't get caught.

P.S. This had better be for a good purpose otherwise it's just as bad as vandalizing them.

Yes, it's possible. And yes, it makes PC useless... it can be fixed but I think you have to send it to somewhere, no idea actually. :p

and another thing, I don't like your idea of you trashing the school computers. It wastes money. Money that could have gotten you adequate education.

You can bugger the bios with great ease. Most modern motherboards come with a utility (flash) for updating the bios to add improvements/fix bugs etc. This is done by overwriting everything on the bios chip with the new improved bios info. If you were to overwrite this with the bios info for a totally different motherboard, then the computer will not boot up until this is put right (which is a BIG problem when you can't boot it up to do so). You can fix it by taking the bios chip out and having it sent away to be fixed but most BIOS chips nowerdays are soldered into the motherboard, or worse, actually part of it so you could end up having to buy a whole new motherboard.

The school security systems are typically quite pathetic; there is probably some little flaw somewhere that lets you access everything. (on the computers at my previous school you could mess around with the entire network by using the common windows "open file" dialog as an explorer window :D)

Gopher was a protocol simmilar to http (the web), developed at MIT. It died out because those who created it hinted that they were going to charge profit making companies for its use. Today it's still used by some companies and fan groups dedicated to keeping it going.

Take a look at a gopher link if your browser can handle them (not all of them can):  gopher://gopher.tc.umn.edu:70/1  (Link to the University of Minnesota)

Because of its low amount use amongst the general public, Microsoft (and other companies) didn't make sure their browsers/operating systems were fully secure with it. So if you click on a gopher link using Internet Exploiter then you can reveal your root (Admin) password.
