True someone (hmm i wonder who) is going to get confused. the model is nice. the only thing is, being that i am already using a "Nexus" name in one of my ships (i am not saying you cant), for the reasons to avoid confusion, and whatnot. we can leave the names of our respective ships the same, and specify why we call then "Nexus" class ships.
-my reason is simple (ND Resolution Leak
!), the ship classes having to do with nexus energy are in the XT Series.
The XT-01 Nexus Class Destroyer is as is because it can transverse from "freespace" to Nexus-Space, another form of subspace flight.
The XT-01 series is the only one of this type of destroyer to utilize that form of flight as well as a balanced array of Nexus powered weaponry.
Then theres the XT-02, which this class of the XT series is simply ment for raw firepower but doesnt transverse into Nexus Flight. However it does have an advanced Nexus Powered-Subspace drive which allows it to create its own magnetic field and in essense, institaniously make a jump from one system to the next with multiple ships within the Magnetic field, allowing up to 20 ships of cruiser size and or larger to reach any system through subspace at once (ala Robotech Reflex Fold Jumps
).
