1-is it possible to change engine glows' color? (i want them red )and how?
2-is it possible to make the rotating time of the ships to change as speed change instead of having it always the same, no matter the speed?
i've read the notes in ships.tbl and also i've noted that there are as keyboard commands 1/3 and full throttle like in sw series, so i'm asking this question althought i don't think it will be possible

1. Engine glow color depends on the species a ship belongs to.
Terrans = blue
Vasudans = yellow
Shivans = red
You can change ALL engine glows of a species by replacing the animation file.
2. No, I don't think so.

1.Yes, in fact, on I think FS Sector, or Ross 128, you can get a MOD pcak that does this.

2. Yes, I think so.

I might be misunderstanding you here, but if you want to change turn times and maneuverability, go into ships.tbl and edit the "$Rotation Time" values. I'm not sure, but I think the three numbers define how long it takes to make a full rotation. The first one indicates the time needed to rotate around the X-axis (pitch up/down), the second is for the Y-axis (turn left/right) and the third is for the Z-axis. (bank left/right)

CP[numbers] he mean't in relation to speed. (I think) Like starlancer (although their's is wrong way around) I though FS2 did this? ??? oh well...

Oh I get it now; so basically you want a variable turn time based on the velocity...hmm...I don't think that this is really possible.

Correct me if I am wrong here, but I think that velocity should have no effect on turning anyway. Acceleration will though. (which I think is already in the game, as Law Enforcer said)

Turn time rate based on velocity is not desirable. Take a look at Starlancer. The faster your forward velocity, the faster you turn. The slower your velocity the slower you can turn. This is absolutely contrary to the laws of physics.

Rate of turn is unaffected by velocity. Rate of change of the resultant forward motion vector is affected by velocity, but since Freespace is non-newtonian, this effect is unimportant.

well...i was already almost sure that wasn't possible to do that, but since in the notes of ships.tbl there is said that the way you set turning times was going to be changed and since in fs2 there are two keyboard commands for 1/3 and 100% already setted as in starwars i asked that anyway...
the point is simple.... in the starwars games there is no realistc physic engine...turnings are ALWAYS almost circular.. turnings diameters depend on engine power setting (not speed, but speed is affected by power output obviously), and you have the fastest turning time at 1/3 of eninge power output..its the best mix with turning diameters and speed
you can set the ships to do circular manouvres playing with the damp factors in fs2...i was interested if there was a way to have a certain reliability to the SWverse in rotating times also ....but it doesn't matter... thx for replys
oh-i wasn't talking about thrusters' anis, just the glows...anyway i'll see to do that  changing the race as you said   bye
