Low end graphics cards
I've just installed my brand new Radeon 9800 in my main computer kicking out the R7200 that was in there. That leaves me wondering if I should replace the TNT 2 card I have in my second computer with the R7200.

If there is only a minor difference in power it doesn't really seem worth it but if the R7200 is a fair bit more powerful I think it should be worth the trouble of removing the NVidia drivers and installing Catalyst.

BTW if anyone is feeling jealous of my nice new card I'll tell you about the fact that I had to go through 3 other non working cards that needed to be returned before I could find one that worked!

I think that R9800s are made to **** over. Remember how mine blew my PSU?

Damned ATi.

Anyway, as for replacing that TNT2, I could flog you my old card, Radeon9000.:)

Ditto.

Don't waste your money with an old Vodoo 3000. You can find a GeForce 2 MX PCI and it will give you much better performance than a Vodoo. It can even outperform a Vodoo 5 5500.

"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

Voodoo 3? God, get a real card. My GeForce 2 MX AGP is much better than any 3DFX card.

In case you were worried about me, my own box has a Ti4800 SE in it. The V3 was in the old network *****, just for the novelty of installing a PCI graphics card...

I don't think you're getting my point guys. I already have the Radeon 7200 and the TNT 2 card. I'm mearly trying to figure out which is better :D

I don't see much point in spending money on the computer as I don't use it as a game machine (I have my main computer for that!) :D

It's not better than the super never released Voodoo 5 6000 or something like that. Really wierd design though: Multiple cores, and as big as an FX5900 Ultra....

The 6000 had 6 cores and it still couldn't outperform the other video cards. It was even bigger that the FX 5900 Ultra.

Why didn't you just say so? A Radeon 7200 is superior to a TNT 2.

We read the same review? The one I read had it beating the GF2 and coming close to the GF3 in 32bit mode....

I thought the 7200 would be better but I wasn't certain and I'd feel like a fool if I kicked out a good low end card to replace it with a worse one :D
