hmm, a 300mhz k6 based PC, I think that could be worth paying the shipping charges for, that procesor could probly be cheaply upgraded too, I think.
if you realy mean it, I'll discuss this with the famely, maybe get my sister to pay the shipping costs if it's not too much.
I also have some frends in the shipping industry, I may be able to get that cheaper than normal

I think I might actually pull the thing out of the grave and use it as a personal server for files and pics and such.

I wish I had a faster hard drive in my mix of OEM and after-market parts. A 7200RPM 20GB Deskstar just doesn't cut it anymore. I really wish I had this one right here: http://www.maxtor.com/en/support/products/scsi/atlas_15k/atlas_15k/index.htm
If only they made a SATA version of that.....

When I helped out at my old high school repairing their PC's, the Optiplex's never gave me problems (except for one, fan wires kept getting into the fan).
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside
