how and where subspace works? Star charts that show jumpoints in systems, planets natural resources, colonies, history,
I agree with you on subspace, sorry.
But the FPS gave this kind of info. pretty much what I talking about.
And it's based on peoples campaigns. so if we do it it would be the same, just a majority agrees it to be final and it would based on ideas from the community. So it would a campaign idea, but not a campaign sort of thing.
GTA Historical Overiew
The first faction of humanity in a pan-system scale was the Mutual Trader's Conglomerate founded shortly after the Jovian contra crisis. Designed to regulate trade and to limit the power of reaction mass foundaries, the MTC grew in power.
With the end of the 20th century, the democratic world learned the hard lesson of alien mindsets and conflicting views. A united front of the western and moderate nations waged a silent war for over a century against the extremes which could be imagined.
At the height of a summit of these groups, the greatest extreme occured. Probes sent to explore nearby star systems discovered communication transmissions of an ultra-low wavelength. Though they were never deciphered it was clear that they were not of human origin.
The MTC at this period of time had reinforced it's assets with a defense fleet for mercantile vessels. As Jasen Whiteside perfected the sub-space drive, the MTC gained the rights to this technology and had a stranglehold on the true Galactic market.
A global consolidation of forces was massed, and a silent trade war with the MTC and Earth-interests was waged. The results of this time period were the first colonies beyond Sol and the exploration period.
With the Serpentis succession ten years after the colony's founding, the MTC turned to the League of Terran Nations to reclaim it's main holding of the frontier and lost power in a trade comprimise with the Serpentian Consul.
The end result was the first of the several treaties which founded the Galactic Terran Alliance.

* - If a moon of a given planet is inhabited, the planet is considered inhabited in the above figures.
** - Most of Antares has been evacuated as of May, 2329. The numbers above do not reflect this.
Fundamental differences exist between Humans and Vasudans not only physically, but mentally. This fact became clear in the first fleet engagements between the two species, but became shockingly apparent in the first ground conflicts.
