Where can i find the Jump-in distances for Cap-ships? By distances I mean the distance between the capital as it warps in and when it comes to a complete stop. I cant find such a list anywhere atm...any help please?

search the forums, I'm sure I've seen a topic with a list for most capships around somewhere.
But maybe I saw it over at the VBB, so check that one out too.

The original FREDZone site had a list of them but it's down so I'll reproduce what I have here

(You may notice that the Colossus' warp effect seems to occur inside the ship itself rather than in front, as with all other vessels. This is most likely because the center of gravity of the Colossus is in the rear of the ship. If you notice, the Colossus never jumps out in any of the published Freespace 2 missions.)

Unfortunately that list isn't quite accurate.  I know because I tried relying on it for a few missions and there was quite a bit of error.

This looks like a job for... Wiki-Man!!

Go to it, karajorma, or kasperl, or whoever gets there first. :)

Doesn't special warp increase the jump distance?

Mph.  I could probably do it in a half-hour or so.  Wait a day or two.

True.  My solution is to give the ship a bit of extra space (e.g. 3000 meters for a 2500 meter jump-in distance) and then set a waypoint where I want the ship to end up.

If you don't know, test, Singh.  In Fred, place Alpha 1 1000 meters behind the Hades, then have the Hades jump in.  When the Hades reaches a speed of zero, see how far it is away, subtract 1000, and you have the answer to your question.

Then come back and tell us the results so we can add it to the list. :)
