Finally, my wife found a Belkin (another company to hate for their contempt of the consumer) keyboard for like $50. It has no extra fiddly keys except for the wierd ATX power buttons in the upper right. Unfortunately, when using the number pad in the dark, I would sometimes hit the standby or power key by accident. I couldn't turn off the feature in the BIOS or in windows, so I had to settle for popping off the keycaps.

I have one like that. Power, sleep, and wake up keys under the pg up and pg dn cluster. It wasn't $50, though. If it were I'd have never bought it. :p

I didn't have much choice. I can't really use straight keyboards and I can't stand Microsoft ones. This is the cheapest of the ones remaining. Sad, huh?
[I am not really here. This post is entirely a figment of your imagination.]

Ya know it's funny..  I bought a MS Natural Keyboard Elite PRO with the oober USB ports in the board.  That keyboard was grand, it fit my hands perfectly, and taught me how to control most of my freespace controls on my left hand only.  It had a problem though after a couple years of use, the keyboard PS2 port's pins were somehow getting ... Shorter!  Like the metal ring around the pins inside was being pulled out of the plastic housing on the plug.  I tried to fix it by pushing the ring back down and the dang ring, plug with pins snapped off of the rubber connector.  I was sitting there saying "well that's the dammnest thing I've ever seen". Now I use the natural multimedia pro keyboard cause it's the only decent one that's corded and split which fits my hands.  I hate the new F-lock setup tho, and the wierdo Insert-Home-Delete section of keys.  I would like to see board manufacturers include USB ports though on thier keyboards, cause that's really handy when you use USB flash drives and have no front-mounted USB panels on your case.

there's 250 bucks down the drain.

I wish I had $250 to blow on a keyboard (or anything else for my computer that is). My desktop at home uses a 8 or so year old HP keyboard that I yanked off of a no longer functioning HP computer.
"The reason for this is that the original Fortran got so convoluted and extensive (10's of millions of lines of code) that no-one can actually figure out how it works, there's a massive project going on to decode the original Fortran and write a more modern system, but until then, the UK communication network is actually relying heavily on 35 year old Fortran that nobody understands." - Flipside

Brain I/O error
Replace and press any key

I've spilled pop into my keyboard before (actually my brother's friend did, I got to rake him over the coals for that).  I just pour some water in, drained it and waited for it to dry.

Then I used the keyboard for about a week before the stickiness was worked out of the system.

Guess I was lucky =)

That keyboard looks like it's trying to... compensate for something.
