FarCry kicks allot of ass!

Great guns/graphics/sound etc

It was wel worth the 40 eruo's:D
I am at the point were it is getting allot harder then all the previous levels:D Atleast thats what the cutscene showed me:D

what are your thoughts about the game?

I am at the level "control" now were you come out of the airshaft.
seems prety damn hard according to the cutscene.

I played the demo...I was entertained by the graphics but that was about it.  Its moderately cool and the AI is nice but eh...just doesn't seem to be captivating.

The game itself is way better than the demo's they released. Best game for me since Halo really.

when i went it was a choice between far cry and UT 2004, cuz I didn't have enough money for both. So it shouldn't be too hard to think what i picked (I got UT)

Indeed, one of the first games to REALLY need a full DX9 capable card. I tried it using my old GF4 and it was disturbingly slow - then after upgrading to a Radeon 9800 and it just came to life.. smooth and stunning.

Can't wait to get the money for the full game.

try it on a:
1.8ghz athlon
256 ddr ram
a 128mb radeon 9000 pro

and you'll redefine sluggish.

that said, i'm gonna sink about 2 grand australian into this comp for a major upgrade.

i like setting my purchasing goals a little higher, it gives me plenty of overhead for those "emergency" purchases, that and well.. around that time, a few good games will be released.

128Mb DDR ram (one stick) (266Mhz)
and a r9600xt (256M) (formerly a GF2MX PCI)

your vidcard is a better model than my own, that's what's prolly lending much to your ability to play it.. also.. 128mb?.. i'm surprised it ran at all.

i got it somewhere, got it installt playd the first level and got shot every time, it's somewhere in my closet now, but the graphics 0wN, you need a powerfull cpu though to get all the graphics out of it.

he's got a point, snipes... hell, it ran /perfectly/ with my celeron 633 mhz, 128 sd-ram, and a 32mb kyro card.

Bleh... hated Far Cry. Gameplay was kind of repetitive and the story was pathetic.
