Kazan - understood. I'd appreciate it if - in future - you or anyone else send me a PM notifying me of something like this happening again on the HLP forums. I'd like to be in a better position to nip it in the bud before it grows into something more heated. It seems those on the CIC forums have critisised HLP of having a lack of moderation.

Nico, I understand. The exchange was in the past and over with - Setekh and others saw it before I have and you've not been banned by them, I'm not going to step in and do it at this point so long afterward.
However, as of this point forth there will be no flame wars hosted on these forums between HLP and the CIC. I'm damned if I'm going to feed the flames of conflict by providing the logs with which they burn (to put it more literally, I'm not going to allow flame wars between the communities to occur here from this point forward).
If the CIC community wants to blame FreeSpace for the death of their franchise - so be it. Let them. It's not a problem for us to concern ourselves with and we as people had no hand in it. Their quarrel should be with Interplay and/or Volition.
I'll - as I said - post a more in-depth look at this in the coming statement, but this should do for now. Any threads of an inflametory nature regarding the CIC or Wing Commander will be closed on sight, however you're free to talk about the game in a mature way if you wish.
