Indeed, the article says the nick is "Sandvitch" and not "Sandwich" as it is in here. Oddiness. ;)

As for the nick... hehehe. My nick in the army was indeed "Sandwich"... actually, more like a drawling "Sah-which" (Adi Avitan didn't like the "d"). In Hebrew, that's unusual because the correct pronunciation is "sandvich".

So when I decided to adopt that as my online nickname, username, etc, I had to use "Sandvich" (the unusual form from an english-speaker's POV) in a number of places where "Sandwich" was already taken. But here... ;)

Thank you, now i finaly know why i pronounce it sandvich, i dont speak hebrew myself but my mother does so i guess it kinda inhereted onto me
