You think that's idiotic? I point to the M25/A21 junction as the greatest example of human stupidity ever. The road designers decided that having the 3 lane bound to be overcrowded M25 narrow down to two lanes westbound and one lane eastbound was a good idea. Surely everyone can see the error in this theory without even needed to study civil engineering.

If your talking roads nothing is as bad as I-95 from Virginia to Maryland.  Some genius engineer decided to take the most crowded interstate around one of the most crowded cities and bring it from 8 lanes to two.  One each way.  Needles to say rush hour takes 4 to 8 hours
