I fly x-plane a lot, there's a pretty good online community down at www.x-plane.org - they hold a fly-in at different locations every Sunday, we usually get around 10-20 people on. Which is plenty for one airport

I mainly use it for its accuracy. The best simulator I know of for realistic helicopter flying, and the planes ain't half bad either. But as maeglamor pointed out, it's not a game - it's mainly for people serious about learning to fly, or simulating flying realistically. The graphics are alright, but nowhere near what they could be.
